AI interior designing tool - HouseKraft

I Tried AI to Redesign My Living Room — Here’s What Happened

We just moved into a new apartment and the living room felt… off. The flooring didn’t match the furniture, the wall color was dated, and I had no idea what curtains would work. Hiring an interior designer wasn’t in the budget, and I didn’t trust myself to pick the right shade of anything.
So I went down a rabbit hole looking for tools that could help me visualize changes before committing. That’s when I found HouseKraft (housekraft.co).

The idea is simple — you upload a photo of your room and the AI lets you swap out flooring, wall paint, furniture, curtains, lighting, basically anything. I was skeptical but figured I’d try the free version.

What I tested first: wall paint.
I’ve been going back and forth between a warm beige and sage green for weeks. I uploaded a photo of my living room and tried both. Seeing them on my actual walls instead of a tiny swatch made the decision obvious. Sage green it is.

Then I tried flooring.
We’d been debating hardwood vs vinyl. I ran both through HouseKraft and the vinyl honestly looked just as good in our space. Saved us a significant amount right there.

The staging feature surprised me.
I cleared out our spare bedroom to see what it would look like as a home office. HouseKraft staged it with a desk, shelving, and lighting in about 30 seconds. It helped me figure out the layout before buying a single piece of furniture.
The whole thing works in your browser — no app to install. They also have a Telegram bot (t.me/HouseKraft_bot) which is handy for quick tests from your phone.
If you’re renovating, moving, or just tired of staring at your walls wondering “what if” — give it a shot. The free tier gives you enough credits to test a few rooms and see if it’s useful for you.
